1. Solutions to video problemsThe videos do not load (Format not supported) or they play poorlyTo load and play videos requires that compatible codecs are installed in Windows. Codec is the compressor-decompressor abbreviation. Each video format requires its own codec so that it can be played. Some common video formats do not need additional codecs because these are already supported in Windows (example: videos in Windows Media Format for Video, WMV) In order to obtain the maximum compatibility and better performance with the videos we recommend that you uninstall other codecs and install K-Lite Codec Pack Deejaysystem Edition (available here). This package installs a set of codecs specifically designed to work efficiently and play videos with Deejaysystem. In addition, should you wish to deinstall the codecs, you will be able to and leave your system as it was before the codecs were installed. Before installing this package, it is important to deinstall codecs that you already have installed on the system. Go to the Control Panel Start> > Add/Remove Programs to uninstall the following elements if they are present:
Note: If you need a player to see your videos and DVDs we recommended the free player Media Player Classic Home Cinema. Karaoke files (MP3+G, WMA+G, BIN, ZIP): if these do not load then re-install Deejaysystem from the original setup file (do not use the portable version). This should install / repair Deejaysystem's propietary karaoke codec in the system. The videos blink, they slow down or they are blocked
Loading a video produces “jumping” or freezing in the videos already loadedThe most probable cause is that some software is slowing down the access to the files on the hard disk. Possible solutions:
I cannot see the second screen video output in full screen modeFirst make sure that you have correctly connected the second screen and that the screen is powered on. Normally the second screen can be:
Start the program. At the beginning it will detect the secondary monitor automatically and it will offer the option to activate it. Click YES. It is possible to activate the secondary screen manually and configure the specific options (ex. resolution, refresh rate) in Start> Control Panel > Display> Settings. Learn more Videos MPEG show horizontal bars in scenes with movementIt's an interlaced video. For playing it properly you should have installed K-Lite Codec Pack Deejaysystem Edition and enable the deinterlacing filter here: Start > All the programs > K-Lite Codec Pack > Configuration > ffdshow video decoder > Deinterlacing. The recommended method is Cubic interpolation. Some videos show the wrong duration and in AUTO-PLAY they are mixed prematurelyDeejaysystem VJ2 queries the codec for the duration of each video. If codec indicates a non-precise value, Deejaysystem cannot do anything other than use that value. The duration will also be used to mix the videos in AUTO-PLAY mode, reason why they could be mixed before time. The only solution is to install a different codec for the video format that gives the problem. If you use the K-Lite Codec Pack Deejaysystem Edition you can try to choose a diferent decoder for your video format: Start > All the programs > K-Lite Codec Pack > Configuration > ffdshow video decoder > Codecs 2. Solutions to audio problemsApple M4P files do not load (Format not supported)This happens with the old DRM-protected M4P files. You must convert these to MP3. The old M4P format uses protection and it can be played only in iTunes under Apple's DRM licensing. In order to convert the DRM-protect M4P files to MP3:
Some files in WIndows Media Format (WMA, WMV) get error protected File (DRM)Note: DRM support in Deejaysystem is available for customers under request only. The publicly downloadable Deejaysystem versions do not support DRM files. Also, in order to play these files you need to have its corresponding license installed in your equipment. Open each file once using Microsoft Media Player and this will show the instructions to obtain and to install each license. With the licenses installed already you can close Media Player and open the files in Deejaysystem. 3. OthersMy external controller does not workNumark DMC-1, Visiosonic DAC-2/DAC-3, Hercules DJ, Behringer BCD-2000, Numark…
Now they would have to work correctly with Deejaysystem. When you open the program, the controller should illuminate all lights shortly after starting the program. That means that it has been detected and initialized correctly. If the lights are illuminated but the controls do not respond then perhaps it has been misconfigured. in Deejaysystem, open Settings > Control and click the Defaults... button to recover the original configuration. |
